Bonnie is a Canadian painter and assemblage artist currently living on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. She lived and farmed in the Cariboo region of British Columbia for many years and had a long career with the Provincial Government. In 2010 Bonnie decided to retire to pursue making art full time and embarked on a self-directed art education and journey at her home studio in East Sooke. Working in oils, acrylic and mixed media.
No matter the subject, from fish to whales to coastal landscapes her paintings are rendered in an uncomplicated style. Her work is often humorous and inspired by living on the ocean's edge where she encounters her subjects while spending time fishing on the Salish Sea.
Her fun creations and paintings have been sold in Canada and the US through exhibitions, studio tours and online.
